Set in a bleak, dust-choked post-apocalyptic Earth, the story follows a lone,
weary scavenger named Kai who hunts for energy signatures among
decaying ruins. After a sudden floor collapse traps him beneath a ruined
hallway, he is rescued by Lena, a resourceful survivor carrying a broken
drone. Banding together, they seek shelter in an abandoned research
station, where they accidentally trigger the backup power and awaken Ash, a
small drone-like robot housing a glowing energy core. Ash projects a
holographic map, claiming to be the “key to the world” and requesting
transport to specific coordinates.
Despite Lena’s intense skepticism and protests, Kai insists on following the
robot, choosing a dangerous chance at hope over aimless wandering. This
causes a rift, and Kai proceeds alone into a subterranean Earth Core Energy
Modulation Station. As Kai triggers the core activation switch under Ash’s
guidance, the facility violently destabilizes. Lena arrives just in time to pull
Kai from the collapsing structure, while Ash stays behind, sacrificing itself to
complete its creation’s purpose. Emerging at dawn, Kai and Lena witness the
gray clouds parting to reveal a massive, wound-like red sun—standing
together in silent hope against a harsh new horizon.
